An Attendance fee
is paid to attending bands for their involvement in the Christmas Parade. It has now been increased to $300 as from the 2019 event..
Street March
will be held in Commercial Street East, (in front of the City Hall), beginning at 9.30am. There will be an ‘inspection’, drill adjudication and music assessment during the march which extends to the second intersection ONLY.
 A trophy and cash award, increased to $400, will be presented to the winning band in the Street March.
Massed March
Attending bands will all rank in formation at 10.30am in Commercial Street East in front of the City Hall. Bands march to the assembly point for the Christmas Parade (Crouch Street) playing McAnnally’s Waltzing Matilda. The march will be either a single group or split into 2 groups depending on band numbers involved.
The Christmas Parade @ 11.00am
Bands form up individually under instructions of the marshals for the Christmas Parade in Crouch Street – South of the Commercial Street intersection. Cash prizes are awarded to the bands selected as (1) Best presented Band and (2) Best Dressed Band in the Christmas Parade.  
Afternoon Music Contest
Will be held in its entirety in the Helpmann Theatre. The contest will be held in graded divisions dependent on entry numbers. These selected divisions will be awarded cash prizes and trophy for the winning band and runner up in each grade.
The Blue Lake Brass Band festival 2019
is scheduled for Saturday November 16th
The Old Town Hall is the home of the James Morrison Academy
The Sir Robert Helpmann Theatre from the stage where the afternoon music is staged is regarded by many groups as one of the finest regional venues available for bands.
